Author's Note: What would you do if the third message you glance on your phone was the last?
“You come home and check your phone messages. You look at the third message and freeze.” You dash down the stairs and run for the door. You freeze just as you reach the last step. The door is wide open, cold air rushing in.
It's really good! The only thing I'd change is the word freeze. Since it's such a short paragraph maybe next time you can find a synonym. Otherwise, it was really life-like, I especially like the ending.
