Space

Author's Note: What would we do if Space didn't exist?

If there wasn’t Space there wouldn't be a(any)universe(s). Then there wouldn’t be any planets. If there weren’t any planets there wouldn’t be any Earth. Then Earth wouldn’t exist then neither would dinosaurs or humans. Then we wouldn’t be here or any where, we just wouldn’t exist. There for Space is an important.

Life

Author's Note: What do you think of when the word life comes to mind? To me life is..

Life is just life. Life can not be anything more than life. You can’t tell your own story of life because your the one living it. Your life depends on your choices and decisions that you make. I think that life is just preparing you for what will happen in the afterlife. Life, there is no definition for it.

Food

Authors note: When you think of food do you ever wonder whats in it,or what the ingredients are, if they're even real?

I love food. Do you? Even thought most of the food now days isn’t good for you because a lot of it is processed with tons of ingredients that aren’t even real food. Take a chicken McNugget for example there is about 1000 ingredients that is all preservatives and when I learned about that in health last year I never want to eat the McNuggets. Now I wish that i lived in the older days where everything was fresh and hardly anything was processed. Even though the food isn’t always healthy now days we can still exercise to keep our bodies looking healthy and fit. That is why so many adults and children are obese. Since I swim two and a half hours to three hours a day I can eat what i want. Although I eat what I want, I still choose to eat healthy.

Winter

Author's Note: Winter. Cold, Snow, Christmas. What does winter reminds you of?

Winter makes me think of the most beautiful snowflakes falling down landing on my tongue. When I think of winter I think of snowboarding,sledding, and skiing down the snow covered mountains.The saddest part of winter is either when there is no snow or when all the pretty snows melts into spring.I bet that if you think of winter you think of Christmas and all the joy winter brings. So when I think of winter i think of all those wonderful things. What do you think when winter comes to mind

What Will Happen When You Die?

Authors note: As you read this you might feel a sudden rush of air tremble down the back of your neck. You will realize that what I wrote about is fantastically entertaining. If you could write a book what would it be about?

Have you ever seen a horror film when a girl is walking into creepy scene and you think in your mind, “Do NOT go in there!” ,but she does anyway, and the next thing you know, you’re on the edge of your seat waiting for more? Well, the book Everwild is like one of those movies, except put in words. "Everwild" has skin-jackers, ecto-rippers, and don’t forget the big, bad horrendous monsters.

Imagine yourself in the backseat of a car just sitting there, in a day dream. Then all of a sudden you are flung out of the car at full speed. Sooner then you know it, you are so far away from your family and traveling through a tunnel towards the light at full speed. You end up in a magical, magnificent world but find out you are dead. This relates to the real world because this book takes place on Earth but there are specific spots where afterlights,can not be or they will sink into the middle of the Earth and never escape. In real life you would go to heaven, depending on your religion, as a child and not stay on Earth until it is your time to leave.

When you think that is creepy wait until you here about the McGill and the Chocolate Monster!If you’ve ever read the book you would know the McGill isn’t like your average monster he is more like your worst nightmare but even more terrifying.The McGill’s real name is Mikey and he is just another afterlight, children who die and there spirit ends up in Everlost, like Allie, Nick and Mary his sister. When you get him too aggravated he starts transforming into a hideous ugly beast. On the other hand there is the chocolate monster ,also know as Nick, Allie’s best friend, he is not as monstrous as Mikey. The Chocolate Monster helps afterlights to get where they are going. These characters remind me of the real world and when I was littler I was scared of monsters. I was scared because when I thought of monsters I thought they would eat you or come out of your closet like the movie Monsters Inc. Well if you thought those monsters underneath your bed were scary well the ones in the book Everwild will make you want to hide in your bathroom.

Then just as you run into your bathroom someone skin-jacks you. You might ask what is skin-jacking? Well skinjacking is a talent only some afterlights have. For example, one of the main characters, Allie. Skin-jackers can go into a human’s body which is also called high jacking. Just like how you can high-jack a car, steal it and drive without the keys to start it. Allie doesn’t know the real truth about being a skin-jacker, those who skin-jack aren’t really dead.

"Everwild" is a thriller with different monsters such as, skin-jackers, and ecto-rippers. It has many twists and turns, sometimes you don’t know what is going to happen next. If you are reading this BEWARE you might want to check under your bed tonight. The mysterious monsters are lurking around waiting for you to end up in their grasp. Remember you will either get where you’re going or be trapped forever.

World War Two Letter

Authors note: I was so happy that I got to write to people who fought for our country it is truly remarkable how incredibly brave they are. I hope you realize that too.



Dear World War Two Veteran,
Thank you for fighting for our country. I am very grateful that you were brave enough to serve our country to make it free. We will remember you for what you did for our country and how courageous, resolute, gallant, and strong-willed you were to go into a tough war like that. When I think of all the veterans it reminds me of how our country is free and also it reminds me of our beautiful flag that we have because of you. Thank you again! You will be remembered in my heart and hearts of the whole United States of America.

Are You Proud of Your Country?
Have
I am proud of my country because my country that I live in is free. Instead of a king we have a president so our country is different with each president. We don’t have slaves because slavery is terrible and we don’t have slavery because of our army. Thanks to our army we are a free country, we aren’t ruled by kings or queens and we are helping other countries to get freedom.In Iraq we are helping citizens to be a free country without a king that gives out orders here and there.
I am also proud of my country because all of the soldiers we have to protect the Untied States. It isn’t like it’s everyone for themselves; we have people to fight for the country. We have a navy, an air force, marines, army, and don’t forget policemen that protect the streets. Then on the other hand in other countries around the world they don’t have police or army force even. I feel safe and proud that the country I live in has police and army forces.
Another reason why I am proud to live in the United States of America is people think that the country we live in isn’t good enough for them and they want more and more. They think it’s all about them! Well it’s not all about them because in other countries around the world kids don’t have any food and they are starving may be even dying, or they might not have any money, or shelter. They might live in the streets and drink out of extremely polluted garbage water.
We should all be proud of the country we live in because you never know maybe one day we will be a terrible country and not be free and we all might be slaves and have a king or queen. I am very proud of the country I live in.

Pollution

Authors Note:I was very excited to write an essay that I got to pick the topic so I decided to write about the tragedies pollution causes. It is depressing and only humans can prevent it.
Pollution is terrible. Can You Prevent It?

If you took a minute and thought about what is pollution and where does it come from? Well if you didn't know what it is or where it comes from. Pollution is a substance that has harmful or poisonous effects. All the pollution is caused by all the garbage, oil, and gas from the boat engines, and the poisons in the water and the air. Pollution is terrible and can harm animals and kill them.
People throw a lot of trash in the oceans, lakes, etc. It’s entirely humans fault for all the animals dying in the bodies of water. First off, fish are dying because of all the trash, and sewage in the water. Especially it’s common in rivers and gulfs to find a bunch of fish dead with nasty pollution all in their gills, in their mouth, and in their stomachs.
Not just fish are dying, birds are dying also. of birds die every year because of pollution and oil spills in the water and pollution in the sky. Take a pelican as an example they eat fish and if the fish are polluted with oil spills they will die because of people who pollute. Another way birds could die is from toxic oil spills…. It gets on their wings, makes their wings sticky, slimy, and heavy. When the birds wings are matted down with oil and gunk from trash in the water they cannot fly. If they can’t fly the birds die because their wings and sometimes beaks are stuck, and if they can’t breathe they suffocate. Then when birds can’t fly they die of exhaustion from exhaustion from pollution. Birds can also die from the poisons in the air from all the pollution. The birds could swallow it and drop out of the sky dead after a certain amount of time from flying in it.
Don’t forget all the sea creatures in the ocean such as dolphins, turtles, whales, and all the animals in the oceans because there is an estimate that 100,000 marine animals die each year. When you throw trash or spill oils in the oceans all the wonderfulanimal life in the oceans are being harmed too. When you throw trash in the ocean it goes out in the ocean and get swpet through the currents and sits there and sooner or later an animal will get caught in it if they are smaller. They will eat the pollution and it won’t digest or will get caught in a blow hole of a whale or a dolphin and they will suffocate and die because of the trash. If there was an oil spill it could get on their fins and also go into their blow hole and then they will have taken in a breath toxin from the oil.
I think you should think about these poor animals that die because we pollute. When you drop trash, spill oil, or pollute think about all the animals you will kill if you do that. If you don’t care about the animals’ then think about if you were and animal that was about to die from pollution and maybe that will change your mind. That’s what pollution does to innocent creatures. This is what pollution causes, and you can prevent it!
